I work with many forms of painting - landscape and abstract, impressionist and fantasy. My paintings are always about the light, and how the light works in and with a scene, or image, to create and evoke memories, emotions and feeling in the observer.

Each works contributes to an ever evolving story, and each leads into to the next, so the stories grow and change with each canvas.

I work in my garden studio at home in Northern Hawkes Bay. My studio is the soul of my art. It is where all the stories I gather and images I see come together and blend into what I paint.

I work with a variety of mediums and textures to produce my work. There is always something new I want to tell or convey, and the continual exploration of new and changing mediums constantly expands and develops the visual vocabulary or texture and color available to me
